Key Worker Support and Study Pack Pick-up

20ú Márta 2020

Thank you for your patience. As you may be aware, Marie, Caoimhe and Pauline have been phoning parents all day to ascertain the intentions of Key-Workers with regard to school next week. Based on the information received from parents today, we will take Monday to carry out a Risk Assessment and proceed with opening school on Tuesday for only those children whose parents informed the school today that they needed their children to come in. If Marie/Caoimhe/ Pauline did not get you on the phone today, please contact the school before 12.00pm on Monday, 23rd March. We will not be able to accept any children next week after this time as they will invalidate the Risk Assessment.

The schedule for the pick-up of study packs on Monday, 23rd March is as follows:

Naíscoil and Rang 1 from 9.00am to 10.00am

Rang 2, Rang 3 and Rang 4 from 10.00am to 11.00pm

Rang 5, 6, and 7 from 11.00am to 12.00pm

Please drive into school as normal and park at the hall, someone will be there to hand you over the Study Packs for all your children at the one time.

Each pack contains a study book for the week, with a cover sheet from the teacher. We have not included answers as we ask for the booklets to be returned each week, when the following week’s workbook can be picked up.  We will eventually move to fortnightly and monthly booklets, if necessary.

This website also includes a new section which will gradually be populated with links to various on-line resources, the password for which will be shared via the whatsapp group.

Please bear with us rolling things out, we do envisage some difficulties with the Irish, particularly with the younger children, so I would be very grateful if you would send any feedback regarding these arrangements to the school’s email If your child has difficulties with the Irish, just leave it and mark on the booklet that it was too difficult, this will help us with future packs.

Finally, stay safe and keep well.
