The first week in school is always exciting as the children are eager to share what Santa brought. While the staff are seldom as eager as the children to be back at school, it is always nice to get back into a routine. This week was as busy as ever with the NSPCC visiting on Thursday and a non-uniform day, visits from Scoil Iósaef and the Integrated to speak to the P7s, new toys/equipment in the yard and P6 beginning their swimming lessons. In class, the children began to play and work, with emphasis on our STAR Assessments for Accelerated English next week; keep an eye out for Maths Facts in a Flash next week (P5, 6, & 7) next week. Up the lane in the Iarscoil, the children were happy to get back to their activities, play and snacks!!
